Statement of my work
I prefer to work in socio-environmental issues. Because
being a human everyone is involved in this problem. The problematic situations
and its consequence cause by human activities are affecting our surrounding.
Our situation has been changing due to irrational acts of human beings.
In my recent paintings, I have used different motifs like
bitter guard as mental phenomena. Its structure and color inspired me to work
in this theme. “Tito Satya”(Bitter Reality) In Nepali saying reflects the
bitterness, sense of unpleasantness and sourness. This could be a contradict to
our daily activities, our sufferings. Nowadays every term, every minute and
each second are surrounded by bitter experiences. It shows the socio-political and the socio-environmental context which is represented by the inner intuitions through
different images.
‘Mountains are beautiful’ it came into existence millions
years ago but I think they were not created by anyone. They were not created
with the purpose to please us, like we, human being have been created. At least
it seems that way in the ultra modern period. It has its own story of bitterness.
